My Winter Survival Outfit

Happy New Year! Wow, that came fast! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and I wish you all the joy in the world this coming year. I love the motivation and excitement that surrounds this time.  I wish I could find a way to bottle it up and have it all year long!  Instead, I usually get back into the routine of things and realize it is still winter, but there aren’t any thrilling plans to help me forget how cold it is haha.  So, today I thought I would share my winter survival outfit!  choker-3-1-of-1

We have way more snow than usual right now, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.  In fact, I was just told we may wake up to 8-10 more inches! I like to be warm, dry, and cozy so traipsing around in feet of snow isn’t really my thing.  I put together this outfit to at least take warm and cozy around with me!  This top is one of my new favorites because the built in choker makes it unique, and the long sleeves, length, and fit make it so comfy.  Plus, it is only $13 so you can’t beat that!choker-1-1-of-1

I paired it with my Blanqi leggings because I wear them almost every day and I can’t convince myself to stop haha.  They are the best leggings I have ever owned!  My striped bag is from Seaport Stitches.  I don’t leave home without it! Mainly because it carries all my snacks 🙂 and it looks good doing it.choker-2-1-of-1

I threw on some boots to keep the snow out and of course a big chunky sweater.  They help to break up my head to toe black spandex thing I usually rock around the house, and instead make me look more acceptable in public.  Or so I like to think! My winter survival outfit! Loving this black shirt with the choker neck detail, comfy gray sweater, and the best leggings! Maternity style, mom style, casual comfy style!

Hope you are enjoying the winter, and if not, hope you can put together a winter survival outfit to help you make it through!  Thank you for a great year and all the support XO

arvo wear awristacrat- Women's watch simple style

This blogging adventure is still pretty new to me.  It has been so humbling and exciting to have it go from an outlet for love of hair styling to something that connects me with so many amazing people and companies.  I have made incredible friends and I’m grateful for those connections!  3 (1 of 1)

One of my favorite companies I have gotten to know is Arvo.  They are amazing!  Not only do I love their watches, but they give so much back.  I love their mission: Be good. Do good.

They released some new designs, and honestly, all of them are beautiful!  This is the Awristacrat, and it immediately caught my eye.  I have been wanting a black watch for a long time.  This one is my favorite!2 (1 of 1)

They are so generous to offer a discount code to us! Check out their beautiful styles HERE and use the code SAVANAH15  (remember, I spell it a little weird 😉 there is only one “n”)6 (1 of 1)

I’m grateful and honored to be connected with Arvo.  Thank you for everything you do! Also, if you have a company or you are an influencer, make sure you check out their app Collabor8! It, like them, is wonderful!

Have an amazing week, my friends!

So Much Wind

So I have had these pictures for a couple months and haven’t posted them because of my own insecurities. For starters, my babe was only a couple months old, so I was still getting used to my shape. Also, a golden retriever bit my upper lip when I was nine years old, and even though I had multiple surgeries in the years following, I can still see the scars and imperfections.  Of course, there are other things, but those are what stand out to me here.  However, recently I have been working on letting go of some of my insecurities and embracing imperfection. I think that allows for more honest and meaningful connection with others, such as my family, and with God.  Since those things are far more important to me, I’m moving forward in my efforts to embrace imperfection! I know it’s a process, but that is why it’s worth it.

I owe it to my wonderful photographer, Hannah Swenson, to post these because she is amazing! The wind was crazy! Hair was everywhere.  I have a lot of hair anyway, but add crazy curls and it’s all over the place haha. To get these curls, I wrapped my hair around a one inch curling iron in all different directions.  The goal was for it to look unkempt and free.  If you are ever going for this look just add lots of hair product and lots of wind!

I have also teamed up with my girl Hannah Swenson to bring you a little extra spunk! She is a sparkling ray of sunshine as well as a very talented photographer.
