Floral Skirt Two Ways

You have heard me talk often about warmer weather and my love for it!  It is a great time to try out some fun prints, or different fabrics.  I love lace so when I saw this Hydrangea skirt, I fell in love.  It is happy and amazing, just like summer 🙂

I have always loved shopping at Downeast so I am really excited to be bringing you a couple looks featuring this beautiful skirt from their new Special Occasions collection.  I just love the intricate details of the skirt! I also love the length.  Since I am nursing my baby, I wanted to bring you a couple options that were also nursing friendly! White floral and lace medium length skirt, with mint top. Dressy date night style for Spring.

White Floral Skirt wit lace and eyelets. Lovely Mid length skirt for Spring.

For the first one, I chose to pair it with the City Center top for this more dressy look.  The waistline is so flattering with a top tucked in, and the way the lace extends on the end makes it look so elegant! I am also loving the soft color on the top!

Nude heels, with white lace floral skirt, and mint button up top. Springtime style! Women's style, elegant style, mom style, date night style. Styling white lace and mint! Loving this mid calf white floral skirt and mint top. I paired this outfit with tan heels and a simple gold bar necklace.

For the second, more casual look, I paired the Hydrangea skirt with the Garden Romp top.  Tying it in front gives it a little more personality, as well as helping to create a more flattering shape.  I will be wearing this top a lot this summer! Also, it is on sale whoop whoop!

The Wolf

Halloween Makeup! Wolf Makeup, lovely feminine Halloween look and costume!

This was such a fun project! I have never really been one to dress up.  Not because I’m against it, but mostly thanks to my procrastination skills that take over. Oops!  This year, though, my good friend Stayc Smart asked if I wanted to do a Halloween shoot together, and I’m so glad we did it!  We came up with the idea for a wolf, and it just evolved from there.  It was so different than anything I have done before, and I liked the challenge!  I did the hair and makeup, and Stayc did pretty much everything else.  She is amazing!

We shot in two different locations.  One was a downtown feel with graffiti to add a little edge.  The other was in the foothills, which sadly had a recent fire sweep through them, leaving them charred as you can see in the photo above.  Stayc really had a vision and it was neat bringing it to life. She also posted about this shoot HERE.
