Floral Skirt Two Ways

You have heard me talk often about warmer weather and my love for it! It is a great time to try out some fun prints, or different fabrics. I love lace so when I saw this Hydrangea skirt, I fell in love. It is happy and amazing, just like summer 🙂

I have always loved shopping at Downeast so I am really excited to be bringing you a couple looks featuring this beautiful skirt from their new Special Occasions collection. I just love the intricate details of the skirt! I also love the length. Since I am nursing my baby, I wanted to bring you a couple options that were also nursing friendly!

For the first one, I chose to pair it with the City Center top for this more dressy look. The waistline is so flattering with a top tucked in, and the way the lace extends on the end makes it look so elegant! I am also loving the soft color on the top!

For the second, more casual look, I paired the Hydrangea skirt with the Garden Romp top. Tying it in front gives it a little more personality, as well as helping to create a more flattering shape. I will be wearing this top a lot this summer! Also, it is on sale whoop whoop!

All you Need is a Light Jacket

Christmas always comes and goes so quickly! It is a bit of a whirlwind. This year it was a chill whirlwind haha if there is such a thing. We just enjoyed each other’s company and played games. It was lovely! I hope you had a wonderful holiday as well!

We were blessed with a fairly warm fall this year compared to past years. This winter has had some beautiful days as well, even though right now it’s a bit on the snowy side. If you happen to live somewhere where all you need is a light jacket, I envy you a bit! This jacket still works for us snow people too, though. It’s light enough to still be able to wear a coat over outside, and classy enough to hit a nice dinner for date night!

I chose to pair it with a simple black dress, but I have also worn it with some skinnies and boots. It is so versatile and the little step detail in the front adds some structure and interest to any look.

This jacket also works with a growing belly 🙂

Lady in Red

Haha I didn’t know what to title this one. All that kept coming to my head were songs about red dresses 😀 Ha so we will just go with it!

On that note, this red dress is the best ever! It is thick enough to wear without layering, the color is perfect, and the material moves so well. Also, it is like wearing a giant blanket! I love having something that is so easy to throw on, comfortable, and looks good.

I often wear this dress on its own, but here I paired it with a jacket. One of my favorite parts of it is the asymmetrical hemline. I love how it is longer on the sides. I wear it with boots a lot, and I also love how it looks with heels!

Flowy Fall Maxi

I love when the leaves are both on the trees and on the ground. It’s a small window, but I always appreciate it. I love driving down streets downtown with big, mature trees! It feels like a tunnel of amazing fall-ness 🙂

This dress from Make Me Chic also adds to the feeling of amazing fall-ness, because it is perfect for this weather! It is fully lined through the skirt, so it is warm enough for these cooler days, but still flowy and easy to wear. The olive color is one of my favorite colors to wear in the fall and winter! One of my favorite parts about it is that it can be dressed up for a formal holiday party, or worn more casually as well. I love a versatile piece that stands on it’s own!

I chose to pair it with simple gold jewelry here. I plan to dress it up with more jewelry and heels next time! I love how comfortable it is, yet looks so classy.

Hello Fall

You know I’m a summer girl, but this year something about the seasons changing has me more excited than usual. I can’t quite nail down what it is, but I’m a fan of fall right now. Could be the amazing colors, the cooler weather (therefore, comfy sweaters and boots) the delicious food, I could go on. I guess I do know why it’s so great! I have already started making hot wassail and planning all kinds of decorative sugar cookies. Hello fall!

One of the exciting parts of fall is definitely the style options! I love this top from Shein because the color is amazing! It’s on sale for $17, which is awesome! I also love the little detail on the sleeves. Unique pieces add so much to the personality of your outfit, and this one does just that!

K let’s chat about our jewelry for a sec. How amazing is this necklace?! SOO cool! It is from RUS Turquoise. I’ve always had a thing for turquoise. My grandma wore it all the time and I remember crushing on it while growing up. It’s so unique and beautiful. I can’t get enough!

Braving Bibs

For the most part, when it comes to my style, I’m not always that brave. Every once in a while I throw something crazy in there, but for the most part, I keep it safe. I have been watching the overall trends going on for the last bit, and I actually think they are darling on most people. I have even tried to convince my daughter to embrace them. She has a fashionable mind of her own, though haha 🙂

When I found these bibs on SheIn I decided to take the plunge. Most of myself is glad I did, even though I’m not yet brave enough to wear them all the time. They are fun to switch things up!

I kept the rest of the look simple, with basic black for my top, booties, and accessories. I rarely wear my hair all the way up, but since I was already getting crazy ha I thought, “Why not!”
